We can't use Google Code servers anymore, which means no more edge servers for downloads. Everything must come from bitfighter.org and it makes perfect sense that some areas of the world have bad access.

Oh!!!! I thought I read about Google Code closing a few months ago, I guess that meant you couldn't use their servers anymore?

Yeah it worked eventually. That explains why even the site was loading super slo. The freaky slowness stopped

If the site was also loading slowly, it may have been that our machine was overloaded, or there was some network slowdown between you and us.

Actually, the site is often extremely slow for me, but reloading repairs this problem

The site is slow for me maybe twice per month. I figure it's just down at that time and I can usually get on again about a half hour later. This doesn't seem to affect the game lobby connection which is nice.
