RESULTS: October 2014 Level Design Contest

That's a wrap! Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest this month, be it submitting a level, voting in the polls, or playing in the parties. It's always fun to get the community together and produce something neat.

*Normally collective levels are not permitted, but due to the scarcity of levels I wanted to make an exception. This level compiled contributions from bobdaduck, raptor, Little_Apple, and Footloose (anyone else?).

Congratulations everyone! Shoutouts to Raptor and Fordcars for using levelgen in their levels, and to Little Apple for not only submitting three levels but for being the first user to submit a level. Raptor, check your PMs for info about how to claim your prize.

This was fun! I'll be sending out a survey shortly. Please take the time to complete it as it will help me improve future contests.

All levels in their latest revisions are attached. Level authors, I urge you to upload these to Pleiades to share with the world!

Black needs to have a greater advantage to offset the 75% deficit. The cover of darkness is only good so long as the other two teams don't benefit from it, which they do with their dark shades. Some ideas:

-You could try lightening the colors of the non-black teams.
-Maybe add a couple of simple turrets for team black.
-Change the spawn locations. Have black spawn in the middle, where any part of the level can be accessed easily, and have the other teams spawn on the outsides where it's inconvenient most of the time.
-Finally, if you wanted to get crafty with levelgen something cool to try might be to boost the speed of just the black team. So they have less starting health but move a little faster.

If you do nothing at all that's fine too. The level is great because of the tricky to access zones, and the three team dynamic. It flows pretty well in-game, and if nothing else team black's deficit can make for improved balance (ie. put the best player in the server on black).

Thanks to everyone who has filled out the survey so far! We have 6 responses currently and it's REALLY helpful. People are voicing their honest opinions which I really appreciate. Please do fill it out if you haven't done so yet, (even if you can't do it by the deadline)!

I had a really good level but couldn't finish the massive levgen in time that and I didn't find out about it till pretty late.
