Big Bitfighter Battle XII - RESULTS
Thanks everyone who played Sunday in the Big Bitfighter Battle! While we never quite got above 6v6, we had many great, competitive games that were a lot of fun. A big thanks also to Raptor for the server.
In total, we played 39 levels, lasting about 2.5 hours (excluding the 20-minute break). We got to play some cool "rare" levels that don't typically show up at parties or events, and of the 27 team levels, 17 levels were decided by 3 points or fewer (so lots of close games).
We also had a couple games go to overtime and make use of ducky's cool overtime script, including the rare double overtime. (For 2OT to occur there have to be additional scores in the first OT period that end up tied at the end of the OT period, so that's super rare!)
The Results
Santiago, you earned the $20.20 prize. Fordcars, as the runner-up you get a $2 consolation prize, and Nacho, while you technically didn't hit 25 games for the $2 "Ultimate Loser" consolation prize, I think we can make an exception given your stunning bad luck!
I'll be in touch with y'all this week.

K/D = Kills per Deaths • K/G = Kills per game • D/G = Deaths per game
Takeaways
Little Apple had the most kills at 537, but also the highest K/D ratio, suggesting they are highly efficient in addition to being a ruthless ship slayer. Only two other players broke the 500-kill threshold: Fordcars, at 509, and Santiago, at 504.
Opti and Numbers, despite only playing seven games were more efficient than three of us who played all of the games: myself, Fordcars and Arctic. Speaking of the latter two, Fordcars takes home the 'Most Zapped' award with 637 deaths (16.3/game) with Arctic only 11 deaths behind.
Footloose impressively earned the exact same numbers of kills and deaths at 475 each, resulting in a perfectly even 1.0 K/D ratio.
The kill rate correlated to game wins... mostly. Little Apple finished third in wins but first in most kills. Invader Alex had the lowest K/D ratio but finished eighth and had the second highest win rate. They proved to be deadly in different ways!

Coming Up
I'll be releasing a short survey about the event and future contests, etc tomorrow. If you're able to take it that'd be awesome! It's open to everyone, including folks who couldn't make this BBB.
Also, I'm planning to host another BBB in a couple months or so... say late December or early January. I know a lot of people couldn't make this BBB, and hopefully even more folks will have time off during the holiday break. Stay tuned for details!
