Soccer????

With the ball, if you shoot, you drop it. Also, you can't use modules with the ball.

We experimented with picking up the soccer ball like a resource a while back, and those instructions were for that.

Ah ok! I thought it rang a bell...

Ok so I'm arranging the wiki a little (correcting errors) and I came accross this

2. Determine and seek your goal. Is it simply to kill opponents? Is it to capture the enemy's flag? Are you trying to retrieve flags from the opponent's base, or defend your own? Random dogfighting (except maybe in Bitbash) should be avoided

3. In Hunters or other combat-oriented game, remember that you can't always take out every opponent that comes along.

Is Hunters rabbit or something?

I personaly dont liek teh diea of being able to pick it up stick to having to shoot it in easier to program anyways.

We tried allowing players to pickup the ball in an earlier version; it didn't work, and the idea has safely been discarded.

Good ol' 015. That was when I found Bitfighter, while it was 015. Anyway, they discarded this because people could grab the ball and just be somewhere where nobody could reach them (i.e, out of the map, somewhere only their team could acess, etc.)
