When moving BF in Windowed mode, major lag ensues in Ubuntu

I've been having this problem since I installed Ubuntu 12.10, and it's become a problem when I multitask a bit.

I have an nVidia Geforce 220 GT, a low end card. Drivers 304.43 installed through software sources. I thought it was a driver problem so I downgraded from 310.14 to these. Heck it's not even the GPU that's being used up all the way. Or the CPU. Every other game in windowed mode doesn't lag this much.

I'm using the Desura version, but it happened even with the standalone version as well.

I'd try the llvm-dev package suggestion.

I've done that, it doesn't work sadly, it's still very laggy for some reason.
