LAN game without internet

Hello,

I like this game and I want to play this on my next lan-party. Unfortunately, there is no internet conection where it will take place. How can I run my own master server?

Sometimes my internet goes out, and it can't connect to the Master Server, but if I host a server, my brother can see it on his computer (which is simply connected to the same router). If I'm correct, all you need for a LAN game is for the computers to be connected to each other.
Although I should probably let someone more tech savvy answer this question, lol

Well, I tried to set up an ad-hoc wifi with a friend, and it didn't work.
He conects to my network, sees my computer, ping is all right, latency good,
but when I host a game, he can't see it. As far as I recall he even got the "Can't conect to master server message"

There is no need for connecting to master in LAN games, One must be hosting game, and should know their own IP address.

To connect to the game, in game lobby, type:
/connect 127.0.0.1:28000
change 127.0.0.1 with the IP address that is hosting.

Don't forget double N in /connect.

If you are playing a LAN game with no external internet access, you will get the can't connect to master message. Don't worry about it -- it's just telling you what you already know, and the game will work just fine.
