Ubuntu 11.10 update?

Well i went to the Linux download page and went to the right directory and everything, but when i clicked "install now" on this page. but my software thing says "There is no software package called 'bitfighter' in your sources." I have a 64 bit Ubuntu 11.10 (dual booted with Windows 7) and i can't download it.

Hi Lone Wolf,

For Linux, the world is all messed up. Rarely are the developers of any software the ones who also package the software for any specific Linux distribution - that is left to the 'packagers'. If you need a specific package built for your version of Linux, then you need to contact the packagers at playdeb.

However, _k's suggestion to compile from source will give you invaluable computer learning experience!

Alright, i did what the thing told me to, i installed it and everything, now how do i run it?

When you have built it right, with no errors, simply start bitfighter in "exe" folder, or use the command "cd exe" and then "./bitfighter"

As good as building from source is for learning, we really should have a Ubuntu package, given the popularity of the platform...

So looking at that playdeb page again:

It says it has a package for 11.10: 'Ubuntu 11.10: 0.0.015a-1~getdeb1'

Does that not really exist?
