I recently bought an Xbox 360 controller that is wired. When I go into options to set up the controls, its all goofy. Im trying to get "Advance weapon to A, and it shows as d pad down. The Right Bacmk key shows as Start, the Left back shows as Left Trigger, and i cant get right trigger to work. Y does not detect either. If this can help, im on a powerbook G4 running osx leopard. When i go to my brothers windows laptop, all the controls show up correctly. Even though i have tried multiple drivers, i still get the same problem.

Interesting; I *think* I actually had my hands on one of these recently, and verified that Bitfighter worked with it properly.

But I was testing on a Windows machine, and it may be that it works differently on Windows that Mac for some reason.

I assume you've tried configuring the keys and other obvious stuff like that, right?

One possible problem is selecting the wrong Joystick in option menu.

Main problem is Joystick is mapped differently on different operating systems, the xbox profile (Joystick options) in-game is configured for windows. Changing the configuration may require editing source files.

We have been discussing a mechanism for defining joystick operations in the INI file rather than in code. It sounds like that would help you.

I have similar problems with my ps3. since there really is no joystick with mac program made solely by apple, we get left in the dust with this issue.
I agree with watusimoto here however. Defining joystick operations via the ini file should clear this issue up anyhow.
