Poll: Thoughts on new graphics?
I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I brought this up a while ago and I want to hear your thoughts again.
Option 1: Yes, an overhaul - This wouldn't necessarily be like Z.A.P, there would still be retro graphics, just completely different. For example, maybe the setting would be on Mars instead of space.
Option 2: Yes, with discretion - There would still be plenty of changes, but the setting would stay the same, as would the general layout. But there might be some different animations or explosions.
Option 3: Yes, but just a few minor things - Tiny effects. Perhaps a small smoke trail after shooting a burst, maybe burnt walls where high powered weapons hit, etc.
Option 4: Maybe/Not sure - Only choose this one if you really are on the fence. Don't worry, I'm sure we'd have a larger discussion if this had a serious chance of happening, so voting is only so I could get a basic idea of where people's opinions lie.
Option 5: Definitely no - I love the current graphics and I don't want change.
Another possibility is that there could be some sort of optional skin: Players could install these skins and to them they'd be playing with different ship appearances and effects but to everybody else it would appear normal.
What are your thoughts? Personally I love the current graphics but I respect the potential of new graphics, and in the end I think I'd like a few minor effects to spice up parts of the game that are visually boring.
