Can I issue commands with shortcuts?

Is it possible to issue commands with a simple shortcut?
E.g., if I want to issue the command "/addbots 11" and I am too lazy to type in the full text, I would press just a few pre-defined keys and bam! 11 bots appear.

I know there is this QuickChat, which works for global and team-only chat. Is it possible to issue commands on a similar way?

And in case the answer any of those questions is "yes": How do I do it?

Yes, If you look at bitfighter.ini settings file, you can currently do commands like this:

The often helpful comments in bitfighter.ini could use some updating about "MessageType=command".
