Maybe it's rigged so this doesnt happen, but what if some idiot registered as "ChumpChange" and all of those new (the just-playing-this-real-quick-for-the-first-time) people would be like "WTF?" because the name would be registered.

The user can just ask the admins to change his or her name; or the admins will change the user's name. They did this to me when I picked the name, bitfighter, as my account name. I created another account and _k got angry and deleted the old account. They gave me the freedom of choice in what name to have though. I tried to find flaws in this game, too. :)
P.S. @ Lone wolf, I had the same profile picture for like a day, but got no trouble. ;)

Also, just to prevent it 100%, the admins could block people from registering with the name, Chump Change. Two registered accounts cannot have the same name.

This was already made (for more then 6 months) to not allow "ChumpChange". Attempt to register "ChumpChange" will show "The username you entered has been disallowed or contains a disallowed word. Please choose a different name."

The master does not rename player names to ChumpChange.0 ChumpChange.1 and such, only the game server does the renaming the duplicates (and forcing the name to not underline because of it). Becasue of that, players would have to name themself "ChumpChange.0" in order for the master to check if "ChumpChange.0" is registered or not.

That might possibly cause problem of someone using your name that allow (but not underline) if your registered name ends with ".0" or ".1" by user joining twice, since the game server (not the master) that renames duplicate names doesn't check if that name is already in use.

That is why there is sometimes duplicate names on the game lobby player list, or "Players Online:" list, but never in the game server.
