Settings Window Startup

Hey, can you add a settings window on startup? Games like AOE2 for mac and Diablo 2 would do this. You could disable them if you wanted.

(it's not necessary, more of a touchup)

Re: Settings Window Startup

1) What would go on this settings menu?

2) Do you really want to click through a menu every time you play?

Re: Settings Window Startup

1) It would ideally include all the ini settings. Chance to modify the ini settings before the game without having to open a text editor..

2) I prefer the customizability

I've seen a few of these "setting screens" in various games on my Mac. They're not very common since most games like to put the settings in the game itself. But they're useful for configuring things like video options prior to launching the game.

You probably know all that, but at the bottom of these setting screens there is often a "do not open again" check box. So a player who does not wish to click through this menu can disable it. Typically it can be re-enabled by holding down Option when launching the game.

Re: Settings Window Startup

I think this is typically for games that have very large differences in the amazing of graphics they can present to you, because some computers wouldn't even be able to open the game and get to the in-game options if the graphics were default to higher than the computer can run.
With Bitfighter, this doesn't apply, because the game is already relatively low-Rez and undemanding.
