clickable Change (loadout) button

add a clickable change loadout button on the game screen so players can immediately know about different weapons.
when clicked it brings up the pick your loadout screen that pressing z does right now.

this will be a VERY helpful thing for new players, who want to jump in for the first time ever.
Play my new level! Two different teams fight over a nexus: One mainly defends while the other attacks! is fun

Re: clickable Change (loadout) button

Not bad. There's enough room at the top to slip in a "change loadout" button. You could compress it a little by putting the words on separate lines above and below each other instead of just filling out left to right.

- I'd be a little concerned about accidentally clicking it, but I suppose that's pretty unlikely, and it's an easy menu to get out of.

- We'd also have to make sure it didn't prevent too much screen space from being visible. I mean it's a small button but every little bit of visibility counts.

- My final concern is that this wouldn't be accessible to controller users, although sometimes it's okay to not have equal distribution of features.

These are minor complaints but worth addressing IMO. Also, whether this feature is actually worth it or not is another question... I imagine it would be somewhat helpful for new players, but to be honest they seem to figure out changing weapons pretty quickly.

How about we just set the game to not allow them to play until they've gone through the Instructions completely at least once? :D

Hah! In all seriousness, this is actually a major turn-off for me when it comes to new games. I like diving headfirst into a game and figuring it out from there, not being forced to sit through instructions or a tutorial before deciding if I like it or not. I can't help but think there are others who'd feel the same way!

And yet most of the new players I've seen spend their first five minutes shooting all their own turrets and team mates x)

Re: clickable Change (loadout) button

reminds me of the time me, my brother and a friend played a boardgame called RISK! We ended up just flinging the army men from rubberbands.

This is the purpose of the inline help. If you haven't tried it, try turning it on (from Options), and see how it works.

It is on by default with new installs.

Re: clickable Change (loadout) button

you can do that, amgine with ctrl 1 (sets preset) and option 1 (uses preset)

about that. on my keyboard, ctrl and alt/option are neighbors. bad positioning, I end up overwrising preset x when I want to pick it.
