Bitfighter should support widescreen

Do you mean allowing the full resolution of the screen to let you see farther out?

i mean... support different aspect ratios by having the gui snap to edges, etc, and let the view widen. like most other programs.
of course this may let people see farther by widening their window but you could make it so that the zoom increases when the viewable width or height reaches a limit like what brutal.io does

what problem? you resize the window at it stays square. and for fullscreen you either have square or stretched.

Agreed bitfighter does not like 3440 x 1440 resulation at all.

While I agree that Widescreen instead of just stretched fullscreen would be awesome, it would give people with bigger monitors an unfair advantage, as they could see more of the map than people with smaller screens could.

So that's an automatic nope

I can make it to stretch again instead of always keep the same aspect ratio. I don't remember why that was changed in the first place, but the current behavior does seem a little weird.

that's why i mentioned the view would need limits or something so you can't do that
