Hey guys, Nothing_Much from IRC here!

Figured I'd introduce myself here. lol

One suggestion, perhaps this should be a section that way we can greet new players without going through the thread.

Oh that's super neat. If you could stand the InstantAction game (where maps were paid DLC and there was no editor, essentially destroying the best aspect of the game), you're going to love this. Good to have you!

Hello everyone!

I only recently discovered that bit fighter existed. I have played Zap a long time ago (I want to say 6-7 years) and had an urge to play again, only to discover that it stopped. Then I found out about bit fighter.

All right, a bit about myself. I live in the new york city area, and I enjoy working on cars, playing video games including bit fighter and minecraft, and can program in C and C++.

I only really played LAN on Zap. I was never big on online gaming back then. Sometimes I would get 10-12 friends together and play a tournament.

Hey guys. I'm Blake, also known as ObsidianSkin. I was introduced to this game by Nothing, and so far, it's been tons of fun. Outside of this game, you can usually find me on Game Jolt or on my blog, where I will be playing, reviewing, and (sometimes) making indie games! I hope to play this game for a while, and stay as active on the forums as I can (I've never been one for forums, though). Thanks for reading this, and have a nice day.

Oh wow. I never actually did a thing here...

My name is Shade, and I (used to) play Bitfighter relatively actively. I like wolves and gaming pretty much. I also hang out on the internet a lot, you might know me by SirBlockles, Yoshifan95, or (in rare cases) Muddy.

I also dabble in photo editing and programming.

Re: Hello World! (Welcome Thread)

Hello all my name is Miles aka Mexigo . I used to play Zap when it was on Instantaction one my favorite websites in my preteen life (Instantaction RIP 2010) but then I found this game, the Original Zap. And even tho I'm still kind of getting use to the look and the controls again I still have that Zap ace skill from way back then 8-) . Back in the old forums of Instantaction , they used to rate who were the top five best zap players on the site. Needless to say I was one of those five ace zap pilots. The funny thing is though, since few people play Bitfighter ,when ever I'm on and someone joins, I can't help but to not play the game and just talk about that game and other stuff, almost like a guy at a bar. ("So do you come here often?" sips beer)

Well anyways I can't wait to play you guys :) .

Hello all.

I was introduced to this game from Little_Apple on here. I've only played once or twice, but figured I should sign up anyways, who knows, maybe I'll end up playing more often :p

A little bit about myself:

I'm one of the 4 administrators of marbleblast.com, as well as an active modder to marble blast. I have massive experience with programming in over 10+ languages and counting, where most of my work involves C, C++, and TorqueScript.

Welcome jeffMB! TorqueScript... is that the same Torque in TNL (Torque Network Library)?

Re: Hello World! (Welcome Thread)

It was the scripting language that Torque Game Engine / Torque2D / Torque3D uses. MarbleBlast has it since it was TGE, as well as I assume ZAP at one point since it was made by GG?? I'm not too good on ZAP history.

Welcome! I briefly played Marble Blast a few years ago and had a good time, your name sounds familiar as one of the premier modders in the community there. Glad to hear it's still alive and kicking. Hope you get a chance to play with us sometime! We actually have a game coming up this Friday at 9pm est if you want to blast some ships.

Re: Hello World! (Welcome Thread)

Hi jeffMB!

Yep, Zap! was originally made by GarageGames (to demo TNL I think). Then they released InstantAction with Z.A.P and closed down Zap!'s server. Many users didn't like the graphics, so Watusimoto took the open-source version of Zap! and continued development to this day: Bitfighter's History on the Wiki

Btw I will now be playing MarbleBlast, it's really cool! Brings back great memories

EDIT: Whoa, looks like the first release of Bitfighter was on my birthday:

January 16, 2008 - Bitfighter v001 released, Windows only

glad to hear you'll be playing marble blast :)

I'll try my best to try to get the marblers to give bitfighter a try. Considering we still got some people around, worth a shot to try and spread the word. :)

How's bitfighter on download counts? For Marble Blast Platinum 1.50, we've had over 3500 downloads and still counting. We usually pull in a few new people every day.
