Someone stole my level.

i was paying bitfighter this afternoon on a particular server, and it came across my level. the level, however, had lables and a whole section added without my permission, or knowlage. i would REALLY like to know who did this.

i am REALLY ticked off about this.
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

Re: Someone stole my level.

The server is enabled "Download level" so they can type /download or whatever to directly take your level. After that they can do whatever they want to it... If you don't want that happening then don't enable download level, or give it to someone who will have that enabled on their server.

Its just a level... bitfighter isn't really about exclusivity. Everyone, especially sam, has everyone elses levels.

He's right. When you upload your level to a public server, you're essentially giving it away.

Re: Someone stole my level.

I brought this issue up early in BitFighter's developmental years, or maybe it was back on the Zetas with Zap!, not sure. Anyway, the whole ordeal is minute. I understand you're reasons for being upset, but it's not something worth getting worked up over.
Somebody took your level and altered it, big deal. Acknowledge that it was originally your level and that you don't appreciate someone using it. Once that's out of the way, move on. In fact take a look at the level, maybe they added some stuff that you like, or maybe some alterations made the level more fluid or better in some way. If you don't think it does, oh well. I assume that you label your levels as yours in the levels specifications so it shows up when you hit F2. That's proof enough to show that you are the original creator and that someone has made changes without your consent. From there on all you can do is find who made the changes and request that they remove their alterations and delete the level from their computer. Otherwise don't load your levels onto servers that allow level downloads.

I can't even remember anymore. For all I know it could have been then.
