Hey all,

While making the playlist for the levelapalooza event I was alarmed to find how few contest levels I actually had. I'm hoping to restore some of those levels and I need your help! _k probably has most of them tucked away somewhere but he's not returning my emails.

Here's why: I want to create an archive of contest levels, both for preserving throughout history and for playing in future parties. Hard drive failure has contributed to the loss of hundreds of levels throughout the years and it's really sad to know some of the best levels we've played are gone forever. Conversely, replaying old levels that you've created and lost is a truly awesome feeling.

My entire level collection, standing at 2,800+ levels, are backed up on an external hard drive as well as in a cloud account. I also plan to upload many to Pleiades in the future. So please look at this list below, and if you have any of the levels listed below (whether they were created by you or not), PM me! This would also be a good time to let me know if you have any special permissions regarding your levels, ie. to not share or edit etc.

If your name is not on this list, hooray! You either haven't created any contest levels, created contest levels before April 2010 (I don't have level lists for those contests to know what we're missing), or I already have your contest levels.

@Raptor I've looked through the following directories: /level_contest, /levels, /levels2, /levels3. I haven't had a chance to look through the rest, but my guess is that they're mostly similar and I won't have much luck. Thanks anyway!

I found bobdaduck_contest_submissions.zip its a long time i don't know where I downloaded the file from. Don't forget to put the level credits in.

I have Trefoil but i don't know if raptor wants me to send it to you or if he has a modified 'fixed' version?

If you have used forum PM to send level contest, you can check your forum's PM sent messages and see if its there. Note, limited to 50 newest sent messages.

I have had 2 hard disk failure over a past 5 years. Don't bother reading this black text... The first one (Pentium 4 HT 3 GHz) started randomly corrupting the file system with over 4000 reallocated sector count slowing down the computer too much then unable to boot, although hard disk didn't die completely. Used USB to PATA/SATA adapter to take most files into another computer, then i probably destroyed a dying hard disk. Then got the computer working with a new hard disk, without random corruption. When I got another old computer (Pentium D 2.8 GHz), that computer randomly chirps, then 1 day later when I tell the BIOS to run a hard disk test, hard disk suddenly screams then dies with an endless clicking sound. Once again, got that one working with a new hard disk, now without random chirping sound.

Yikes. I've been fortunate to avoid hard drive failures but have lost levels due to a virus and accidental deletion. Now I just back up everything in at least two external places, might be overkill but I don't have to worry about losing stuff.

Upload more levels to Pleiades!

I think watusimoto wants sky_lark to upload more levels to Pleiades

So I'm not opposed to uploading levels to Pleiades but I don't really have many levels to offer that are (a) high quality and (b) created by me. If y'all devs can come up with a way for players like me to upload levels but retroactively change author credit (maybe to "Unspecified"), then I'd be happy to upload more levels that are fun and made by inactive community members.

Any news on finding those old levels?

I lost a old levels that if anyone has would be apperciated.

Once again lsot those 2 levels geez im getting anoyyed that third one seems forever gone though.

It should still be in your PMs, unless you deleted it.

I realy need to have a file somwhere in my pc where to put levels and not have them deleted
