Suggestions for weight loss

I have read a bunch of websites to find this answer but sadly I failed to find all.
Bottom line - I'm 6'1" and 290 lbs. But some of my office colleagues didn't believe I weighed that much. I am not fat, I would say more like overweight. However, I'm fairly strong as well. I played football in college life but that was 3 years ago.
But now I want to back in exercise again and my question is Do I start simple and walk a couple of miles a day? Starting lifting weighting? what diet plan do I need to follow to maintain my health?
I would like to get down 220 lbs, I don't know is it realistic or not.

I understand your problem, the same problem happens with my brother. I know how much feel bad when someone told you are overweight or fat.
Here you mention that you are strong but overweight, in that case, I would suggest you visit the Gym in Kolkata where you can find the proper guidance to make your body in proper shape.
But if you have any problem such as financially or you don't have enough time to go there then I disclose some guidance which may help you.
1. Always drink water especially before the meal.
2. Eat eggs for breakfast.
3. Drink Black coffee.
4. Try Intermittent Fasting.
5. Take a Glucomannan Supplement.
6. Eat less refined carbs.
7. Use Smaller Plates.
8. Keep healthy food around in case you get hungry.
Follow these tips hope it will help you to reduce your body fat quickly.
