Doors with switchs...

What about having doors with switches like minecraft so that the feature could be used in dungeon or in some pvp.

Re: Doors with switchs...

Have a door that opens if you turn the switch on or off. The switch is a separate item and is connected to the door by red wires (just like minecraft). You put the red wires within (or on top of) the walls to connect the door to the switch with an electricity current. So you need a wall, door, switch, and red wires to complete this task.

Re: Doors with switchs...

If. You take a look on the googlecode site, I posted something similar to this.

I wrote: So basically you can set an item's "switch" on or off with a tigger-action style. So it could be When ForceField1 is Destroyed, then turn switch ON.

Then for ff2: When ForceField1 switch turns ON, Deacvtivate (or activate)

And have switches for all kinds of stuff.

Re: Doors with switchs...

It's vague, but yeah it's a similar idea like all of the switches in our homes.

While I do not like things like this, it may be possible to do in the future using scripting and triggers.

I kinda figured this would be for the dungeon mode in 016a.

Re: Doors with switchs...

That might be interesting if it's exclusively for dungeons, but I'd be worried about how switches would affect current gameplay.

I think switches would make existing gameplay all that more awesome.

Switches would make dungeons actual dungeons/puzzles.

Re: Doors with switchs...

YES on switches, yes for sure. Allow Single Use or On/Off modes, though.

In PvP, they would make another point for your team to defend/attack. So you'd have to defend the switch from being toggled, and if that was taken, you'd then have to defend your flag/core/zone/whatever.
