Picking Up Stuff

Just a quick thought... in case you screw up and place a spy bug or mine in the wrong area, what if you could physically pick it up and move it? I guess my thinking here is that you could move them to let teammates pass or to adjust the guarding. It would also be interesting as enemies who attacked your base but died, it would be something different.

And don't worry, you'd only be able to pick up and move your own mines and spy bugs.

Thoughts?

Re: Picking Up Stuff

After a mine is activated, its usually not a problem that it's there. Its there to do damage, and it doesn't really care who. It affects both teams because mines are hostile... I'm not sure about making teamates be able to pick up mines and move them.

Spybug moving I like though.

Ah, but you'd be the only one who could pick them up.

The idea I think is good for three reasons:

1. Sometimes the mine placing isn't always right, or I see a different idea. Since you do kinda have to wait a while before placing another, it would be useful to be able to move it to the right location.

2. Let teammates with the flag or whatever pass in bottlenecked location. This happens all the time... heck even I sometimes want to pass through.

3. Maybe mess it up for enemies. I suppose this could be a little negative but I like it, keeps them on their toes. :)

I guess the argument here is if one or two mines are valuable enough to need to move them.

- Yes. You can only place a couple of mines before needing to regain energy, and yes, it can take quite a while before you can place another. Besides, if you're playing in an active map then it's especially important.

- Yes. If you incorrectly place a mine near a bunch of other mines, you can't destroy one without killing them all.

Re: Picking Up Stuff

Maybe spy bugs, but not mines.

I would be happier to see new items like customized shapes that you could pick up and throw.
BAM! I'm back.

Re: Picking Up Stuff

I can imagine the way you would pick something up and use it could be something similar to RokkitBall (a game you may have played on InstantAction).

Re: Picking Up Stuff

Could somebody explain to me why if we would to implement this feature, it would be okay for spy bugs but not mines?
