Re: Bitfighter.ini help.

Euh, can you like write what error message showed up?

If you remove stars in Bitfighter, only you won<t see them anymore, but the other players will see stars and classic sounds etc

If you wan<t to change stuff in your server, I recommend you get the source code of Bitfighter, modify it, and host a server with your modified Bitfighter

Re: Bitfighter.ini help.

The thing is if you change the source code most of your modifications will be server side so everyone will be affected by them.,

Re: Bitfighter.ini help.

Some modifications work very well server side :P

Like, for example, the Infinite Energy "hack" that was made with Xcheat on Zap!

Re: Bitfighter.ini help.

To get different sounds just copy over the old sound/music files and rename them to the current ones.

To get rid of the stars you will have to build your own client after deleting this line in UIGame.cpp: (around line 1900)

  Code:
drawStars(1.0, position, visExt * 2);

You can not disable stars for other people. They would have to use a modded client as well.

There are handy guides to building from source.
