Contest Server Level Change Password

I figure I'd give out the contest server level change password algorithm.

On *any* contest server I've hosted, I use the following password:

  Code:

YYMM of when the contest started where:
YY = last two digits of the current year
MM = month number, 01 - 12

So if I started a contest in February 2014, the password would be 1402

It might make more sense just to use a static password. If you know the pattern, the changing pw provides no additional security. If you don't know the pattern, you can't get in anyway. With a static pw, the game will remember it for you and it will be easier for everyone.

What is the point of a password? Why not just turn vote on (if it isn't on already)

or how about somthing easy like the nubmer of teh day it is in the year out of 365

This is a good point. Now that voting exists, I won't add a password to my contests to allow people to change levels freely.

In that case do We need passwords at all?
