Furbuggy's Overall Promotional Strategy

The Objective: to add fun-loving and creative people to our existing community.

Our Product: Bitfighter is a frenetic yet whimsical space-themed video game where players create the content.

The Problem: So few people have even heard of Bitfighter.
------------
Tasks-- Volunteer for one or more positions :D

We intend to accomplish our objective through a low-cost advertising campaign, aimed at organizations that have potential new players.
This campaign has three tasks to be delegated:
1. To find businesses and organizations we think would be receptive to our product, to get their mailing address and verify that it is still in business. Researchers
2. To make flyers and write letters. Creatives
3. To actually mail the letters and receive responses-- possibly following up. Contacts
-----
Our Target Audiences:
a) Fun-lovers; Gameshops that sell D&D and Warhammer, and retro-videogame stores.
b) Creative people; Programming clubs and camps.
c) More ideas welcome :)
-----
How to Mobilize

First and formost we need researchers. These people would search for those who match one of our target audiences, and list it under its name, address and phone number, here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

But we also need Creatives immediately. We need an eye-catching flyer, and at least two different letters, one for each target audience.

Eventually we also need people willing to put forth a little bit of money, to buy envelopes and stamps, and also willing to give out their email address for responses.
-----
Final Note: It's always been an aspiration of Bitfighter to expand its population. We've had dubious success in the past, but we all know what a great game it can be. I think that this game is something that only maybe 1% of people who hear about it like. If we want this dream to become a reality then we need to work at getting the word out, and we need to work at it together but... I think we CAN do this.
BAM! I'm back.

I can be a researcher. I can already think of a few places in my area that I could actually hand deliver something to lol

Re: Furbuggy's Overall Promotional Strategy

Nice! Get their addresses up asap please :) If we can just get 3 per state, then we'll have 150 organizations-- that's a pretty good start I think!
BAM! I'm back.

Re: Furbuggy's Overall Promotional Strategy

Research is pretty easy, it's just using google :)

Just do "game shops in x" where x is a state, and then try to weed through and find game shops that sell D&D or magic cards
BAM! I'm back.
