Mac Issues

When I play for a while or use the editor, it crashes. It comes up with a weird image, as well. I WOULD upload the image for you guys, but the max upload is a freakin tiny 256 KB. Oh well. Hope I can help you guys fix this bug.

Re: Mac Issues

Are you using the latest version? Can you reliably reproduce the crash?

Re: Mac Issues

You could always upload the image here http://imgur.com/ and then simply post the link and/or image back here.

What is your operating system version? Are you running Bitfighter with Rosetta?

Re: Mac Issues

Be sure you have less windows open on your computer. And on the command while you play, Press the / key and type in:

/maxfps500
(That is the normal one)

If that doesn't work, try these codes:

/maxfps 100
/maxfps 200
/maxfps 300
/maxfps 400

If none of these work. I have another idea:

Please go to bitfighter.org and update your Bitfighter and going to downloads, and install the latest version.

It is usually the, "Chip" processer that is causing the problem.

If none of these even worked, I have some bad news. It is probably one of the chips that are not recommended for Bitfighter. If you have a different computer, laptop, PC, or any other computer that can personally run Bitfighter and if the computer has a better processer.

Thanks

That is more then 8 month ago, I don't know if that person will ever come back here, and explain more about their problems here.

Re: Mac Issues

But hey, thanks for the effort Hugo, in the slight chance 007dna does come back he/she might be able to play Bitfighter with no trouble! ;)

Re: Mac Issues

I'm on a Mac and I haven't experienced anything like what he/she/it is describing. Perhaps if they went into more detail? And provided information on things such as; were you running any other applications at the time? Did you accidentally smash the keyboard and hit command+Q? Were you smoking pot? Things like that would help alot.

Re: Mac Issues

Its better to just let this one go and not discuss it anyways. that was long ago, and now we will soon be at 016, which has a whole new set of changes, like SDL instead of GL. Its slim that person will come back, and even if so, 016 will probably not give the same issue.

Re: Mac Issues

As the OP has not returned and it's not even clear what the initial problem was, I'm closing this. If another user has Mac Issues, they are strongly encouraged to start a new thread.
