Default Loadout

So here's an idea.

It would be completely optional, at the discretion of the mapmaker.

They could design a loadout to be the "default" loadout for their map. The loadout everyone starts with automatically. It would then also be up to the mapmaker whether or not to include loadout zones in the map.

So, you could use this to either suggest that people play the map a certain way (which they are more than welcome to disregard by immediately designing their loadout and hitting a zone, as per usual), or force people to play the map with a certain loadout.

Before people shoot me down for this, "wah wah then we'd have liek, all deez maps where we can't play waht we waaaaaant!" keep in mind that it is currently very, very easy to include a loadout zone on the outside of a map, thus forcing people to play with the game's default. This would be no worse.

Discuss.

Re: Default Loadout

Wrong forum, but I like it. Seems to me we sort of already do it by making there be a default loadout. We don't think about it but if we fail to add loadout zones then players are effectively forced to have boost and shield.

Exactly!

And thank you for moving it to the right forum.
