Neutral ships

You repair them, they orbit around you and kill players too
Can be zapped if wish by editor or can turn neutral again.
Only can be placed in editor
Ideas?

Yeah, you can make a bot do that.

I'm not sure if we can have neutral bots yet though. I brought it up a while ago...

Well, it gets zapped and never respawns, not a bot
has the health of a turret, not a bot

Personally this seems too much like an RTS feature... it's not necessarily a bad idea, but I wonder if Bitfighter is the right fit for it.

I dunno... If they respawned and could be used with discrection by the levelmakers...

Having a swarm of mini-ship wingmen who shoot turret bullets and mimic your modules could be kinda fun, actually. I dunno about gameplay though...

I think the deia is actully a good one it has good startigic value.....

and dont we laready have nertuel bots to build on? the white ones (not sure how to put them in a level though)

Well, they would be like turrets, when they get zapped, they go back to neutral.
This cold make the repair module have more use

For one, they are two very different ideas. One is a ghost ship, a non-moving, non-active ship that serves simply to be destroyed or interact with the environment (ex. getting pushed around by objects). The other, which is what's being suggested in this thread, are active, mobile mini-bots that aid your player in pursuit of your goals. They're not neutral, they're hostile to enemies and friendly to you.

Just because the ships in each idea would probably be white doesn't mean these ideas have anything significant in common.
