Does anyone actually LIKE using engineer?

Yep! I love it. I figure I'm in the minority, though.

I'm the kind of guy who enjoys playing competitively in silly environments. I liked engineer back when it could be rigged to be impossible, on Castles and Gibbed Figure 8. We never succeeded, but it was damn fun trying.

Nowadays I look to Bitfighter as a release from more competitive games, and as such, can appreciate some of the more novelty elements. But that doesn't stop me from taking on a competitive mindset when the situation arises.

As a practical tool, engineer really relies on a large group playing. I'm less likely to spend time building turrets and laserbeams and the like if it's only 2v2 and my role is much more important. If we're playing 4v4 then I can play a defensive role and utilize engineer.

Not particularly, but Cloak Seeker Tank Ninja works rather well.
