Full Game Jolt integration completed

If any of you have a Game Jolt account, I am pleased to announce that Bitfighter has been fully integrated with Game Jolt.

You can enter your Game Jolt account name and token (this is not your password) into your Bitfighter forum account (User Control Panel > Profile, fields at the bottom), your Game Jolt account page will show 1) when you are playing; and 2) which achievements you have achieved.

New achievements will be added to Game Jolt automatically; older achievements (and those like BBB victories, that are added manually) will be swept in periodically.

So that's about it. If you have a Game Jolt account, please enter your credentials and let me know so we can make sure that everything is working ok.

Nicely done! You should put a snippet about that in the GameJolt web page - that's pretty neat and I wonder how many devs have done something similar (without knowing much about the site). In fact, there might even be some potential promotion exchange material there...

@Skybax, thanks for the report. It looks like the system thinks you should have 3 trophies. I adjusted the cron job that sweeps the old trophies over to Game Jolt. Let's wait another 24 hours and see if they're there.

Still haven't gotten the trophies.. do I have to earn them again in-game?

No, you have them in our database... the problem is the sweeping of the trophies over to your GJ account.

Could you please check to make sure that when you are connected to the game that you GJ profile page shows that you are playing? That would confirm that the credentials you entered are correct.

Yes, GameJolt says I'm playing Bitfighter when I'm in-game.

Great now all we need is to get it to work as a play no download.

Yhat and put this on 4-5 other sites steam and kongergate being a few....

We have already tried to compile Bitfighter to Javascript, but we gave up when trying to compile TNL, Bitfighter's Network Library.

And I personally rather Bitfighter as a download, though

I updated the trophy sweeping script again, and ran it manually. All trophies should be in place now.

Ok, I added some logging to the gamejolt trophy sweep to make sure it is in fact running. I'll check on it tomorrow to see what is going on.

When you get a special badge because of the BBB, (like I got silver) should you get everything below that as well on GameJolt?

Right now in the Bitfighter code, if you get the BBB silver, you do not get the BBB bronze. This probably mirrors to GameJolt, but I'm not sure.

If the daily medal sweeps are working, any Bitfighter medal will be automatically mirrored. Last time we definitively tested it, it did not work, but I fixed what I thought was the problem, so it might be working.

If there's Steam support, then perhaps there should be some communication to the webmaster of GameJolt, however considering this is a FOSS game, it's pretty much okay with them, but contacting them just to make sure would be good.

Yeah it seems they tried to put it on steam but it has not happened yet any reason why?

Also keep trying to compile TNL to Javascript afterall

2. You have not failed 1000 times you have just found 1000 ways not to do it :]

And im 101% sure if there was a javascript bitfighter would have over 100,000 players.
