Webitor: Bitfighter level-editor, in your browser

Ey!

I've just finished this thing, called the Webitor. It's a web browser level editor for Bitfighter. I've been working on it for some time now, so here it is :)

The Webitor (cool name) supports most of Bitfighter's objects, and a few commands like scale, rotate etc. Here are the features:

You can:
- Make walls with right click
- Add most of the objects supported by the game, including secret ones (sorry devs!)
- Press Escape to modify level settings
- Download the level
- Upload the level to the Pleiades database

Here is a list of the currently supported commands. To use these, press the indicated key:
- 'g': gets the selected objects, and brings them to your cursor
- 'h': flip selected points horizontally
- 'v': flip selected points vertically
- 'r': rotate selected points
- 'x': scale selected points
- 'Enter': modify selected objects' attributes
- 'Ctrl + c': copy selected points
- 'Ctrl + v': paste selected points
- '1 to 0': change the current team, for changing object teams
- Hold space to disable snap-to-grid
- Hold shift to move faster
- Scroll to zoom

NOTES:
- You can't select objects, you can only select points. If you want to do something, like changing an attribute of an object, select one or more points of it.
- There is NO undo, be careful!
- Wall corners look round, but they aren't really

Known bugs:
- Rotate (r) also changes the scaling of the points, maybe due to floating points?

So, that's it! I hope to port it over to mobile eventually, like that we can finally bring level creativeness with us.

I have it hosted here if you want to try it out.

It is released under the GPL, so you can check out the source code here. But beware, it's a mess!

This. If you can get it to work mobile, I'll be even more impressed. I know I'd use it; inspiration doesn't wait, it pops in at the most random of times, and Bitfighter level inspiration is no exception.

Can I draw something and then upload a picture of it and have the Webitor make walls out of my lines??

You can download an SVG editor, like Inkscape, or use one of those online PNG/JPG to SVG converters

Great work!

If you can get this to work as a android/apple app, I will gladly pay the $100 upfront fee to put it in the app store.

Some other hotkeys are missing: e and c for zoom, b for healthpacks, g for spawnpoints, etc. Most items have hotkeys that I'm pretty used to. Though obviously those would work less on an iphone.

Thanks! Keep in mind it is pretty dead, though :/ To make it work, we would have to rewrite completely, as it is an utter mess, but I agree it would be awesome on mobile.

Oh cool. When I tap on my tablet it does work but that's it so I end up placing whenever I tap a word and can't move, delete or resize anything hahaha
Play my new level! Two different teams fight over a nexus: One mainly defends while the other attacks! is fun

Re: Webitor: Bitfighter level-editor, in your browser

Oh man, I am surprised it even worked that much on a tablet :P I should really make it compatible, but sadly it is so badly made I would need to restart the whole project :/
