I was mapling, and then nexon broke maplestory, so I quit and gave all this guy my monies. Bitfighter is way better anyway.

I'm not very good at intros, but eh here goes ...

I'm new around here (duh) figured I'd register as I played the game a lil bit yesterday (or was it day before? can't remember) and liked the game.

I was playing under this name, so a few of you may or may not recognise me. Though I had to leave, as someone challenged me to another game (on PS3) claiming I couldn't beat them.. you know how it is .

I've never played Bitfighter prior to that day. I found Bitfighter while searching the OBS RPM repository's for 0.A.D. and wondered what it was, installed it, played it . Never did find an 'Official Fedora 14' 0.A.D RPM though, partially because of this game , so I just grabbed from SVN and compiled it today. but anyhow, back on topic

Seems like a pretty cool game so far. I figured out how to steer and how to shoot, so far lol.

As you can probably gather by my Nick, I'm a Linux (Fedora 14) user, I don't have Windows, nor do I have Mac

You'll probably see me playing a bit more often on bitfire probably when I get my PS3 Controller mapped properly (Tonight, even)

The doctor is in! Dr. Spacebar here, and as you may have noticed, I already posted a few levels to the gallery. My cousin showed me Bitfighter, and it is extremely fun. I'll be here from time to time with a level of some kind, and I look forward to seeing you all in-game!

I just noticed that I have never introduced myself here.
I am Unknown. I don't play a whole lot, but when I do, there will probably be a whole swarm of people playing with me - I mainly play in LAN party groups. I've played both Zap and Bitfighter for ages.
I created some of the ground-work for the bots currently used - Quickbot, being the most recent, has been modified by sam686 and turned into S_Bot.
I also have created many maps, but few of them are posted on here.

Name's Helmic, always Helmic. I play from time to time. Participated in the last Bitfighter Bash but arrived too late to have any real impact. Made a forum account here a while ago for a persistent account, got a real nice handmade welcome PM from kar, but didn't bother posting as I didn't feel I had much to contribute. Might make some bots and smaller maps to compensate for the low playerbase.

yea lol, I've been in lots of events in the past like the time Drex had his forums and made a 4 way clan event or something. I was in clan green and with quartz i think. there was another guy called playa.kill at the time, but I'm the other one, and my name was not capped like the other Playas.

Back then, if you didn't type a name for the guest entry, you'd get "Playa" and the part [Guest] wouldn't be on the side of it. I remember

Can I just point out that having a long argument about the validity of people's experiences with a now dead game, experiences that are somehow used in an attempt to gain seniority or respect in this community, might not belong in the Welcome Thread for new players?

In fact, I'd say such a discussion belongs about as far away from this thread as possible, if anywhere at all.

You've got a point, and I was going to split the thread...but it came up because people felt a need to cite their personal credibility with game experience early on in the thread. Once the trend started, the conversation slowly but surely shifted. There's not a good break point.

That being said, please use this thread to introduce yourself and not to question other players' community validity.
