Promoting Bitfighter

Hi,

It seems to me that Bitfighter is one of the least known, high-quality, free games in this universe. Three ideas to change this:

* Add the game to the major software/game sites/directories. There are sites for the three platforms.

* Link the game in the comments of blog posts like "10 awesome freeware games"

* Create a short and action-loaded gameplay video and post it to the major video sites

May the servers be filled.

#1 is at least partially done

There is always a bump in players following a release; I'm not sure when 013 will be out, but you can expect to see more players signing up then.

How did you find out about the game?

Already posted it on macupdate.com and iusethis.com.

Within hours it was downloaded over 100 times via macupdate.com (http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/34140/bitfighter).

I am not sure where I found the game. I think it was mentioned on some "free games" blog post.

I note it's not listed on the Apple site and the download.com is out of date? Perhaps there should be a common account that trusted users can update leavin the developing to those rare people with technical skills?

Great ideas. I think we also need more game coordination - even if we have players we need them to get on at the same times.

I'm a little worried about the Australian sites, as most people I believe are located in the US. Not saying don't post them, just also be sure to post to US sites.

Hmm, I wasn't really being clear. In addition to the Australian sites, I think we should also post to US sites, because I believe there are more US players and those newbies might have an easier time finding a game if they are from the US.

If we can increase the number of players down under, even if there is little direct interaction between them and players up over, then that is still a good thing for the game as a whole.

maybe get all the new joiners to stay and love it soooo much they tell ALL their friends and those friends will tell those friends.

i believe 013 release will do just that
