To create a hostile turret or laserbeam, simply select it and press Shift + 0 (that's a number). Keep in mind pressing just 0 will make it neutral.

To create a hostile turret or forcefield, simply select it and press <shift> + 0 (that's the number zero). Adding an item to team 0 (without the <shift>) will make it neutral. Some items when set to hostile have special effects here is a list of the objects and what they do when set to hostile.
